Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor's IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select "Remember Me", your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded Content from Other Websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Text Messages (SMS)

We text you only if you check a box to join one of our text programs on the demo booking form at space.auto/demo, where you give us your number. Giving us a phone number alone does not sign you up, and neither program is required to book a demo.

Space Auto Demo Reminders sends confirmation and reminder texts about a demo you book, up to 3 per demo. Space Auto Product News sends product updates and dealer tips, about 2 texts a month. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out or HELP for help. You can also email support@space.auto.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be sold, rented, shared, or transferred to any third party or affiliate. We use service providers only to deliver the texts you asked for, and they may use the information only for that.

The Demo Booking Form

When you book a demo at space.auto/demo we collect your name, email, phone number and dealership name, and, if you give them, your dealership website, your answers about your store (products you are interested in, website provider, CRM, DMS, number of rooftops and your role), the demo or callback time you choose, your text program choices and any notes. We use them to schedule and run your demo and to follow up about it.

We do not sell this information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the demo (for example, to host our systems and send the calendar invitation), in connection with a merger or acquisition, when required by law or to respond to law enforcement, or with your consent. None of this applies to text messaging opt-in data and consent, including your text program choices and the mobile number you gave us for texts: those are never sold, rented, shared, or transferred to any third party or affiliate, as described in Text Messages (SMS) above.

Your Privacy Choices

You can change your cookie choices at any time from the cookie preferences link in the site footer. To stop texts, reply STOP to any text. To see, correct, or delete the information you gave us, email support@space.auto.

Who We Share Your Data With

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How Long We Retain Your Data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What Rights You Have Over Your Data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Space Auto provides tools and services through our Dealer Space platform to facilitate communication between dealerships and their customers. Compliance with all applicable communication laws and regulations, including consent and opt-out requirements, is the sole responsibility of the user. By using our platform, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

Obligation to Comply with Applicable Laws

Users are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing electronic communications. This includes, but is not limited to, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography and Marketing (CAN-SPAM) Act, and any other pertinent statutes or regulations.

Prohibition of Unauthorized Re-Opt-In

Users are strictly prohibited from re-opting customers into phone, email, or text message communications without obtaining the customer's explicit consent. Unauthorized re-opt-in actions may result in legal consequences, including penalties or fines, for which the user alone is responsible.

Limitation of Liability

Space Auto expressly disclaims any liability for actions taken by users that violate communication regulations. Any attempt to re-opt customers without their explicit consent is undertaken at the user's own risk. Space Auto will not be held liable for any legal issues, claims, damages, or expenses arising from non-compliant communication practices by users.

Termination of Services

Violation of communication consent requirements or misuse of the re-opt-in functionalities may result in the immediate termination of your access to our services without prior notice. Users are strongly advised to adhere strictly to all regulatory guidelines to avoid service interruptions.

By utilizing the re-opt-in functionalities provided by our platform, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and understand the legal implications of contacting customers without proper consent. Space Auto recommends that all users consult with qualified legal counsel to ensure compliance with all relevant communication laws and regulations.
